I am a self described airplane nut. I have flown full sized aircraft since 1959 I have had a commercial instrument pilot’s license since 1965 I have about 4000 hours and have flown most Cessna and Piper general Aviation aircraft. I currently have a partnership with some other guys on a Cessna 182 T. I know that makes me an old dude and my nieces and nephews do refer to me as a official Old fart.
I have lived in Utah most of my life and was raised in Farmington Utah. But I have also lived in Ohio, California and also Washington State.
I have really enjoyed the model flying experience that Dave Nelson Larry Freeman and Terry Pitkin have shared with me. They have built a FUN club and I hope to contribute to there hard work. As you can see from the picture I have other vices besides model aircraft.   Maybe we could organize a fun fly at the Green River.   Thanks Steve Sartor

Born and raised in Ogden. I have 2 younger sisters and an older brother. In 1998 I married the woman who actually opened the door to this hobby 9 years later when she introduced me to John Bowden.  John taught me to fly in August 2006 and I’m sure my wife has regretted it every day since!!!

Once I learned how to fly I Infected, yes INFECTED my Dad Wayne, with a love of model airplanes as well.  If you’ve met him you know what I mean. All kidding aside, I couldn’t ask for a more supportive wife in all of my endeavors.   …No she is not standing over my shoulder telling me what to type either. She truly has been supportive, and if she reads this I may get that new plane I’ve been hinting about too!!!

I look forward to many more years of killing time at the field with my father and the rest of the wonderful members I have met in the club.

I was born in Denver, CO in a military hospital.  My dad was in the military so we moved around a bit when I was a kid.  We lived oversees and here in the states.  Being around planes alot when I was a kid fostered my love for aviation.  It wasn't until December 2006, however that I got into this hobby.  My brother-in-law Sal got me into flying R/C planes and I love it.  I hope to be doing it for a long time.  That is, if i can keep from destroying all of my planes.
